Facebook Feed Settings: How To Get More Mafia Help By Increasing The Visibility Of Your Mafia Wars Posts

Are you or your friends having trouble seeing your Mafia Wars posts in feeds and/or on your wall? Read on to learn how to optimize your Facebook settings to make sure you and your friends don't miss a single Mafia Wars post.

Part 1: Make sure Mafia Wars posts aren’t hidden from your feed.
1) Hover over "News Feed" on the left-hand side of your Facebook home page, click on the pencil icon that appears, and select "Edit" from the tiny menu that drops down from it.

2) Make sure that you do not see Mafia Wars in the "Hide posts from" list on the "Edit News Feed Settings" window that opens. If Mafia Wars is in the list, click on the "x" across from the game to stop hiding Mafia Wars posts from your feed.Edit News Feed Settings

Part 2: Make sure Mafia Wars posts aren’t hidden from the people you want to see them.
1) First, you will want to make sure that your default app settings allow your friends to see your game posts. To do this, click on the downward pointing triangle/arrow near your name in the top right corner of Facebook and select "Privacy Settings" from the menu of options that drops down from it.Home Arrow
2) On the resulting "Privacy Settings" page, make sure that your Default Privacy setting is set to either "Friends" or, if you have created custom friend lists of people with whom you want to share your Mafia Wars posts, "Custom".

3) Next, on the same page, you will want to make sure your friends have permission to see all of your wall posts. Start by clicking the "Edit Settings" link across from "How You Connect."

4) Make sure that the "Who can see Wall posts by others on your profile?" (“Who can see posts by others on your timeline?” if your profile has been converted to the timeline format) setting is either set to "Friends" or includes the custom friend lists you desire.How You Connect
5) Back on the main "Privacy Settings" page, click the "Edit Settings" link across from "Apps and Websites.”Apps and Websites
6) On the “Choose Your Privacy Settings > Apps, Games and Websites” page that results, click the "Edit Settings" button in the “Apps you use” section.Apps You Use
7) Find Mafia Wars in the resulting list and click the "Edit" link across from it.App Settings
8) In the Click on the button across from "App activity privacy:" and make sure it is set to "Friends," or a "Custom" collection of friend lists containing the people with whom you wish to share your Mafia Wars posts.

1) In the same menu pictured at the end of Part 2 above, make sure that “Post to Facebook as me” is among the “This app can” list of things you’ve granted Mafia Wars permission to do.Post To Facebook As Me
2) If “Post to Facebook as me” is not on your “This app can” list for Mafia Wars, there is only way to add it: Remove the game then add it again. (Don’t worry. You will not lose any game progress.) To temporarily remove Mafia Wars, click the “Remove app” link across from “Mafia Wars” at the top of the menu pictured at the end of Part 2 above. After removing it, add Mafia Wars again by visiting https://apps.facebook.com/inthemafia/ and clicking the “Allow” button on the resulting “Request for Permission” window:Request For Permission
