Great news, mobsters! We’re very excited to announce a major upgrade to Fighting that makes it easier for you to become the ultimate icing machine!
Most exciting is that the Fighting results screen has undergone a complete redesign based on feedback we’ve received from the player community! The new layout eliminates the need to scroll up and down in a frenzy to find new opponents, and, thanks to a new health bar, you can now see how much damage you are doing and how close you are to icing your opponent! Attack them with everything you have and watch their health bar melt down like an icicle in a desert!
Other exciting additions include two new ways to help keep you cool: Kills now count as two ices instead of one, and, if another player snatches an ice you were trying to get, you can choose to attack them as payback! In Mafia Wars, revenge is a dish best served ice-cold.
All of that is exciting, but chill, ‘cause there’s more! As you sharpen your icing skills, you may find some new items for your own use and also some new attack and defense boosts that you can send to your friends. These new boosts apply a percentage of your overall attack/defense points to your friend’s stats. When you possess these boosts, you can choose to turn them on and off during a fight to strategically optimize your performance while you put another mobster on ice!
We can’t wait for everyone to try the new Fighting experience, but, due to the excitingly massive scope of the feature, we will regrettably need to roll it out slowly to ensure stability. You will know you’ve been upgraded when you return to the game and discover that your Fighting screen has become much, much cooler.
