Mafia Wars Vegas update and new Crew Collections coming soon!

According to the Mafia Wars Community News page, players will be flying from San Juan back to the city that never sleeps very soon. Zynga will soon be opening up Vegas Districts 7 and 8, which will surely contain new jobs, items and bosses to fight.

Also, new Crew Collections will be coming to Mafia Wars soon, which will require you once again to team up with your mafia to find seven items to unlock more vaults containing new items.

In other Mafia Wars news, the weekend property upgrade we mentioned yesterday is officially announced and will only apply to the first property you upgrade starting Saturday, September 11. Sadly, both the Zynga Poker and Cafe World cross promotions will end tonight at midnight. So, hop in there and take advantage of collecting stamina points from the poker tables and the limited edition item from Cafe World. Don't fret though, more cross promotions will be coming soon (you think Zynga would let something like that go?).

Mafia Wars Fight Club changes improve drop rates and interface

The Mafia Wars Fight Club finally drops the loot it's supposed to, according to a post on the Zynga Community Forums. A recent release fixed an issue in which the Fight Club wasn't dropping the weapon parts it was supposed to, if dropping them at all.

The update also seems to have improved the Fight Club interface within the Mafia Wars marketplace, displaying your current Fight Mastery Level and percentage along with your Victory Coins. The forum post by Community Manager Jonezie Malone says that the drop rates have been increased on "basic weapon parts dropping from fight rewards."

Properties Get Free Upgrade This Weekend

Two words in the English language that always bring a smile to our faces: Free upgrade.

This weekend only, any of your properties in any city will get one free upgrade. Save your reward points for some sick limited edition loot and step up your Chop Shop, Weapons Depot, Vegas casino and other properties starting at 12:01 AM PDT/7:01 AM GMT Saturday. You get to upgrade only one property one time for the entire weekend. This event ends Sunday at 11:59 PM PDT/6:59 AM GMT.
